First of all QUIT DRINKING POP! Those are empty calories and have no nutritional value for you. I have heard of people just doing that alone with out eating necessarily healthy and they lose weight. Pop is TERRIBLE for you. It is full of calories, sugars, carbohydrates etc. All those sugars trick your brain into making you think you are still hungry. I used to drink diet soda and recently just quit and stick to water. It was hard for the first couple of days because i would get a caffeine head ache but they have gone away. I feel fuller through out the day more and have a decrease in my appetite. Also, eat fruits/veggies with each meal, lean proteins (chicken, fish,) eggs are good for breakfast or oatmeal. And you need to start doing at least 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week (running/walking, swimming, elliptical, biking etc.) and light weight lifting is good for toning muscles which help burn calories! Stick with it and the weight will come off i promise! After a while you will need to change up your exercise routine so you don’t hit a plateau. Good Luck!
If you don’t want to pay a lot of money for the ‘diets’ that are out there,try doing it the natural way. Don’t drink sodas,stay away from greasy foods,like fast food. Drink 100% juices and water. Eat lots of veggies,preferably steamed,broiled or baked. Eat chicken,fish or pork,again steamed,baked or broiled. And eat all of it in moderate proportions,don’t over do it. Snack on unsalted nuts and raw veggies instead of chips. And some say eating very small amounts 4 to 6 times a day works as well.
