As long as you don’t eat the whole box of them!!!
if you are dieting you will want about 1000 to 1200 calories per day…. so it’s best to write down the amount of calories all things you eat have.. if you drink water that doesn’t count it has no calories…
Good luck… x
They can be…if you just eat one. However, once most people start snacking, it is too hard to stop so they will eat more than one pack.
I wouldn’t say they are “healthy” but it’s a better choice because they are porportioned and obvisiously less in calories and fat. I think they are good. It’s not like you have to totally cut the things you like to eat/snack on out of your diet. You can still have it, but less of it. Everything should be eaten in moderations though, including the 100 calorie snacks.
I’ve found from experience that there is one major pitfall to these ‘calorie controlled’ and ‘fun size’ packs – it’s when you eat one and then go “Oh, well it was so tiny, I can have another” which leads to another and another and by then you may well have just gone and rammed the full sized version down your throat.
Only good if you have willpower of steel.
No. Most products that are offered in 100 calorie packs are junk food loaded with sugar. Sugar coupled with all the other additives that get stuffed into those products leads to a negative hormonal response in the body (insulin release) which predisposes you to higher fat retention.
they arent realy healthy , but they are low calorie
however your much better off having fruit as a snack
rather than 100calorie sweet snacks , fruit has natural sugars wheras those 100 calorie packs have processed sugar and all sorts in them.
I think they are gimmicks. I’ve looked at some of them and they still contain enriched flour, corn syrup, high fructose corn syurp, artificial colors and flavors, etc. for about the same amount of calories, I’ll have some fruit (so what if it has sugar in it, it’s natural sugar) or for just 30 or 40 calories more, I’ll have an all-natural organic granola bar from Trader Joe’s. (I don’t know the calorie count of other brands of all-natural granola bars. I buy the Trader Joe’s because they are cheap, only $1.99 for a box of six).
I think the companies just count on people lookintg at the front of the box with the nice claims of made with whole grain (which might be far on the list, after the enriched flour and the fake sugars) and only 100 calories, etc. I don’t buy them because they are expensive (they might even be comprable to other brands of all-natural granola bars) and are made with artificial ingredients.
NOT. This is just an excuse to eat crap. And no I am not saying to never eat anything like this. Just don’t think that since it is only 100 calories it is suddenly healthy.
This is nothing but an excuse to eat candy. Eat healthy all week, and have one single cheat meal each week. If that involves cookies, then ok. Just don’t go overboard.
